Overall, a pleasant experience. Meals and prices quite good. Reason for only 4 stars is because they don't have low fat milk for coffees, nor do they have decaf. Both are for medical reasons. To make it worse, apparently the boss has been asked about these before, and he says "No - we're a pub, not a cafe."
Maybe won't go there again.
Great food and service. I had the Chicken Parmigiana which was delicious and big. Hubby had the Pork Chop special which was huge and also delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful.
As large a large family group we attended Drysdale Hotel for an evening dinner. Both bar and bistro was packed to capacity and staff very busy. As a returning customer l was pleased to see a new and much improved menu. The chefs/kitchen staff were under duress due to the amount of meals ordered, but after a patient wait we were rewarded with delightful meals coming out 4 at a time for a group of 12. Nil complaints from anybody and very much enjoyed. Top marks to kitchen staff and thankyou for an enjoyable experience.
Our family held a funeral at Sheahan's Funerals opposite the pub and thereafter had morning tea wake at the Drysdale Hotel. The service, food & venue was excellent. The sandwiches in particular were divine with many attendees commenting on their flavoursome freshness. Other hot finger foods & cakes were also lovely. Approximately 50 mourners were in attendance & all were attentively looked after by the bar & wait staff. Sincere thank-you to the owner Tony who personally assisted with the planning of the event.
We book a table for 20 every year we have always had only good things to say but this time out of the 20 of us not even one our meals come out the way we ordered it the meals come out in a space of over an hour and not together and who brings out kids meals last well this place now dose very disappointing
Just eaten here the chicken parmigiana was tasty mashed potato and fine however the accompanying vegetables Brussels sprouts carrots broccoli were very undercooked almost raw and uneatable very nice .manager red hair addressed the issue apologised and l was impressed thankyou
Parma was exy. Pepper sauce was way over expected price and they tried charging extra for gravy for another who's dinner was supposed to include it. Nice staff but you could take more care of customers who would otherwise return for free pepper sauce. Small grabs for long term loss. I guess it's your business plan.
My mother and l went for lunch today, we waited to be seated for quite sometime, once seated we were told it was table service, but their was none !! Their we sat and waited and waited know one behind the bar and no drink , and one staff member on the other side of the dining room. And still we waited. Very unhappy we got up and left. Will not go back.
